SIGILT enables educators, researchers, educational reform leaders and learning technology innovators to share information about promising and proven new learning technologies. SIGILT goal is to identify, compile, and disseminate that information.
My interest in online training has evolved from my background in broadcast and print media.
I continue to be fascinated by advances in online technologies, and its abilities to transcend various barriers.
I'm currently working on a Master's in Instructional Technologies at San Francisco State University.
With your interest in Online Teaching Tools, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.
Are you an ISTE member? Are you attending ISTE 2010 in Denver? We think you ought to be in pictures!
Hello, I’m Michael Roberts, membership marketing manager at ISTE. We are reaching out to ISTE members who’ll be at ISTE 2010 and who would be willing to have their picture taken for ISTE marketing collateral (e.g., membership, professional development, the annual report, and many other print and web promotional collateral).
Members who have posed for marketing collateral say it’s been fun to get recognized by their peers when ISTE materials arrive at their schools.
We’ll have a professional photographer set up to take photos on Monday June 28th and Tuesday June 29, 2010. It should not take more than 10 minutes of your time. You must be an ISTE member and you must be attending ISTE 2010 in Denver.
If you are willing to participate, please reply to this wall post at photo@iste.org. We will contact you with available times, so you can pick a time that works best for you.
As a thank you, you’ll receive a $5 Starbucks card—plus you’ll have the chance to be a face for ISTE in the coming year.
