Tips
Here are some tips to ensure that you’re camera ready!
• Dress for success. Please present yourself as you would like to be viewed professionally. ISTE brochures and other materials go to thousands of your colleagues. We will have a changing area if you need to change clothes. Please don’t wear clothing with bold patterns or geometric shapes. If you are having a video made as well, please be aware that checks, hounds-tooth, or pin stripes cause an optical illusion that looks distracting.
• Eyegla**** can reflect light on camera; wear them if you need them to see, or if that is how people will recognize you. The photographer will be looking for this. If you have a pair of gla**** with anti-reflective (AR) coating, please wear them.
• Avoid shorts, shirts that do not cover your midriff, and anything that’s too revealing. It’s summer and the ISTE conference is informal, but these photographs will be used to promoting you and ISTE, so please dress professionally.
• We’ll be taking head shots, three-quarter, and full-length photos. Choose your wardrobe accordingly.

Are you an ISTE member? Are you attending ISTE 2010 in Denver? We think you ought to be in pictures!
Hello, I’m Michael Roberts, membership marketing manager at ISTE. We are reaching out to ISTE members who’ll be at ISTE 2010 and who would be willing to have their picture taken for ISTE marketing collateral (e.g., membership, professional development, the annual report, and many other print and web promotional collateral).
Members who have posed for marketing collateral say it’s been fun to get recognized by their peers when ISTE materials arrive at their schools.
We’ll have a professional photographer set up to take photos on Monday June 28th and Tuesday June 29, 2010. It should not take more than 10 minutes of your time. You must be an ISTE member and you must be attending ISTE 2010 in Denver.
If you are willing to participate, please reply to this wall post at photo@iste.org. We will contact you with available times, so you can pick a time that works best for you.
As a thank you, you’ll receive a $5 Starbucks card—plus you’ll have the chance to be a face for ISTE in the coming year.
